Marketing Campaign

Channel Expo 2010 benefits from key media relationships and a growing number of strategic partnerships. Benefit from our investment in the promotion of Channel Expo to your target audience.

Promotional coverage of the event runs from December until May through our vast range of products and via our event partnerships. We target everyone involved in the channel – VARs, system builders, consultants, computer retailers, IT suppliers and converged resellers through to distributors and vendors.

Anyone involved in manufacturing, services and distribution of IT products should be involved in the largest channel exhibition of the year. Our event partners include PCR, Micromart, TCA, Brigantia, ITSPA and our own Incisive brands – The Inquirer and CRN.

Extensive coverage in CRN includes – in-depth editorial coverage featuring news on key features, education, products and exhibitors at the show (starts January 2010). Weekly email campaigns, telemarketing and monthly press releases ensure that news of the Expo reaches our target audience on a regular basis. We also have a dedicated PR team securing press coverage for the show and offering support and guidance for exhibitors.

How will we communicate Channel Expo 2010?

The marketing campaign will use the full mix of direct mail pieces, print and online advertising, email blasts, editorial, PR, and inserts. We use internal data resources as well as leveraging contra-partner deals with key partner organisations to ensure our reach covers the entire UK IT channel.

Direct Mail

Utilising internal and external lists, the direct mail pieces are sent to more than 30,000 UK based prospects.

Email 

Potential visitors are contacted through internal and external lists.  Incisive Media has extensive UK IT Channel databases built up through previous channel exhibitions, CRN magazine and its associated reseller events including the CRN Channel Conference, CRN Channel Fight Night, CRN Channel Golf Challenge and the CRN Channel Awards. Both potential and pre-registered visitors are kept up-to-date with show and exhibitor activity throughout the January - May 2010 period.

Brochure Inserts

Over 60,000 tickets will be inserted into both industry and vertical titles encouraging magazine readers to attend the event.

With a campaign spreading over 5 months, coverage will appear in all of the following online and print publications: PC Retail, CRN, The Inquirer, Computing, V3.co.uk, The Register, ZDNet.co.uk, IT Reseller and businessGreen.com

PR

Our dedicated PR team is in constant contact with the industry and national press, updating them on the show developments.

Website

A new interactive website launched in October 2009, allowing both exhibitors and visitors to register, keep up-to-date on the show, book appointments and arrange meetings with one another at the press of a button.
