New ICEcat software helps in managing big product catalogs. The ICEcat PIM/CMS allows to create and connect new datasheets to the free catalog Open ICEcat

ICEcat has listened to its users who are in need of a stress-tested, international solution to help their organization to manage & produce big product catalogs.

ICEcat has brought ICEcat's PIM
(Product Info Manager) 1.0 version live as a freely downloadable open source
software system via sourceforge.net.

This PIM, also often termed Product
Data Manager (PDM) or Catalog Management System (CMS), is able
to

- handle up to millions of product
data-sheets,

- enables your own editors or product
managers to create their own multilingual data-sheets,
and

- can be easily connected to the
(Open) ICEcat
database.

 

When is it
useful?

. Handy
for:

- manufacturers that have no central
PIM in place,

- distributors that are used to
produce product content for their channel partners,
or

- high-end retailers and etailers
that want to add or create unique product content for their
clients

- comparison sites that want to add
product content for special categories outside the scope of (Open)
ICEcat
